Veteran Steel Industry Leader | Former General Manager - SAIL Turned Acclaimed Singer, Composer, and Music Director
Sanjay Kumar Singh is a versatile professional who has seamlessly transitioned from a successful engineering career to a full-time music career. A B.Tech graduate from IIT-BHU. Sanjay Kumar Singh boasts a distinguished career spanning 38 years in the steel industry, primarily with Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). He retired as a General Manager in May 2024, a position that reflects his leadership and expertise within one of India's largest public sector enterprises. Throughout his tenure, He held pivotal roles in mainly commercial departments such as the Materials Management department and Central Marketing departments of SAIL. Road safety, disability awareness and many more which are in pipeline. One of his key professional achievements includes receiving an award on behalf of SAIL from Government eMarketplace (GeM) for the highest procurement through GeM in the fiscal year 2021-2022. Following his retirement, Sanjay embraced his passion for music, becoming a professional singer and music director. He has performed in over 200 stage shows as a lead singer and has composed more than 500 songs. His work extends beyond entertainment, as he has produced impactful music videos on significant social issues like drug abuse, depression, child labor, road safety, and disability awareness. These works have been broadcast on major platforms such as Doordarshan, Sony TV, and Zee TV, with many of his songs released under renowned labels like T-Series. His contributions to the music industry have been widely recognized, earning him several awards and accolades for his creative and socially conscious work.
